Karen Weir is our Running Coach who specialises in coaching club or recreational runners and triathletes who want to run longer or faster, come back from injury or take on new challenges using balanced bespoke training plans. Karen is a qualified coach, PT and is also currently studying for a Masters in Coaching Science. When she isn't running she is also a keen Cross Fitter using it to help prevent injury and improve her running. Karen is based in a beautiful town called Hope in the Peak District (which basically means she runs up hills like a mountain goat!)
Emma Heald is our Yoga Instructor who is a real specialist in making yoga accessible for all by considering life demands and pressures and designing classes that address these. As an experienced runner, Emma also knows the niggles and tightness that runners struggle with. As such Em delivers 'Yoga for Runners' at our RunWell Workshops. Emma has travelled the world teaching yoga but before setting up her business as a full time Yoga teacher, Em worked as a Manager in lululemon in Richmond Surrey. Currently living in Hull (where it is flatter than flat) she (like Bernie) finds the hills in the Peak District to be sooo much fun!
Bernie Dancy is our Health and Exercise Coach who specialises in coaching people who are recovering from stress and burnout and who want to re-establish their health using lifestyle interventions. Bernie has a Phd in Sport Psychology, BSc in Sport Science and MSc in Preventive Cardiolgy. Until 2016 she spent 15 years as a Senior Lecturer in Sport Science and Health Science at St. Mary's University, London. She now runs her own business as a Health Coach and lives in Molesey South West London where she can indulge in her love of running along the FLAT Thames towpath or deer dodge on runs in Bushy Park, Teddington.
